Paid Twice for Bad Brakes — Warranty Issue Never Resolved I paid for new brakes and rotors, but they started making noise and never seemed right. For months, I went back about every two weeks and kept being told to “give it more time.” By the time they finally took it seriously, they said the warranty had expired—even though I had been reporting the problem while it was still under warranty. One employee agreed the condition was bad and told me it should have been covered, then told me to contact corporate. Corporate was extremely difficult to reach. After weeks of calls and emails, they finally responded and asked me for the receipt from another shop, where I had already paid again to replace the rusty, bad brakes and rotors. I sent the receipt the next day, and they stopped responding. I basically had to pay twice to get my brakes fixed properly. Very disappointing experience.

This location was good until they decided to charge me twice the amount as compared to four other local Brake Check shops and their competitors. I worked with Chris (store director) and Jason (manager) at this store. I paid $1,017 to replace both rear shocks of my vehicle. Was speaking to a friend and he said I paid way too much for it. I called and got quotes from four other Brake Check stores and four competitors in the area. The quotes I received for parts and labor (before taxes) were from $435 to $620. The lowest quote I got from a Brake Check was $490.94 and the lowest I got from a competitor was $435. I brought my findings to Chris and Jason, and Chris' response was that I signed off on the work and he wouldn't do anything. I wasnt surprised by this. Brought my concerns to corporate and received a call from the AVP of Brake Check. The resolution he gave me was to bring my vehicle in to have the OEM parts that they installed removed and replace them with third party (possibly inferior) parts and get around only $200 back. I declined. Like I said at the beginning, my experience with this location was good until this happened and this happened because I TRUSTED THEM when I sign

I bought a brand new front end kit for my car and installed it. I brought it to Brake Check to get the alignment done. When they adjusted the inner tie rods, they twisted the bellows boots all the way to the max. The nut on the tie rod in wasn’t even tightened. It was 2 inches away from the tightening point. My steering wheel was also off to the left so I brought it back. They realigned it and straighten the boots out. They also made sure everything was tight. I was working on my car a week later and I noticed one of the boots was ripped. I called the store and one of the workers told me to text a cell phone with pictures showing that the boot was ripped. I sent the pictures and they told me to give them some time to see if they can order the boots. I texted them back two weeks later to see what was going on and I didn’t get a response. It’s been three months now. I ordered new boots another $25. When I replace them, I’m going to have to take my car to get the alignment done again but this time I’m going to Discount Tire. I’m glad they got alignment machines now. Very unprofessional would’ve been an easy fix to make me, the customer happy.

Great service and attitude. Give them a chance to price match tires and brake prices.

These guys were incredibly welcoming, they greeted us right away when we pulled up and got our car in quickly for a brake job. You can tell their technicians are top-notch. The manager took great care of us and kept us updated throughout the entire process. The work was completed on time, and the pricing was very fair. I wish I could give this place 10 stars!
